ONE MONTH LONG LEADERSHIP TRAINING CAMP


Kerala Kavya Kala Sahithy conducted one month long leadership camp for students for various schools at Kurakar Town Centre, Kottarakara.

The camp began 12th april,2010. Mar Dr George Thekkadathu inaugurated the camp on 15th April. Prof. John Kurakar, presided over the function. Mr Kunjachan Paruthiyara, Mr G. Balakrishnan Nair spoke on the occasion. 30 classes were conducted during the camp. The following were the subjects: “Health Education, Biology, Literature,, spoken English, General knowledge, Computer science, Economics, History, Geography, Commerce, Psychology, Environment Science.'

The valeditory function of the one month long camp was on 7th May, 2010 at Kurakar Town Centre. Dr Abraham Karickom Inaugurated the valeditory function. Prof. John Kurakar presided over the function. Mr Kunjachan Paruthiyara, Mr Sam Kurakar, director, Comrade Info systems, Mr Balakrishnan Nair, Mr Neelaswram Sadasivan, Mr C.K John, Mr Simson John,, Mr P.O David, Prof. Molly Kurakar, Mrs Percy Kunjachan were actively particiapated on the validitory function.

The Chief guests distributed the certificates and trophies to the winners of General Knowledge Competition and participants of the one month long leadership camp. Camp director Mr Simson John expressed thanks to the leaders of the Kerala Kavya Kala Sahithy and participants of the camp.

URI NATIONAL ASSEMBLIES The first National Assembly   of the URI was at   the Mar Thoma Orientation Centre, Kerala as early as 2004, which was inaugurated by the longest living bishop in the world, Dr. Philipose Mar Chrysostom.The second National Assembly was again at the Mar Thoma Shanthigiri Ashram, Alwaye in 2007, in conjunction with the second International Holy Books conference. All the pioneers of the Interfaith Movement in India attended this Assembly viz. Swami Agnivesh, Justice Shamsuddin, Fr. Nambiar Parambil, Bishop Zacharias, Homi Dalla, Madam Meher Master Moos, Swami Chaturvedi, Dr. Mohinder Singh, Vijay Bhatkar and so on.
