GREEN COMMUNITY MEETING
Green Community India is a network of volunteers working in different parts of the country. We believe that human efforts without any influence other than passion for the environment can make changes in the world .At Green Community we initiate action and provide training to folks who have a heart for environment. As a volunteer with us you will get to work on different campaigns, participate in workshops and trainings get a chance to interact with a cross section of people working to save the planet.
The meeting of the representatives of Environment organizations in Kottarakara was held on 8th June, 2012 at Marthoma Jublee Mandiram, Kottarakara. The function began at 3 pm. Prof. John Kurakar, President,Kerala Kavyakala Sahithy, Dr. Ganghadharan Nair,Principal Kerala University Institute of Technoogy, Mr. Ashok Kumar, Mr. Bijumone,Mr. Jaison P. Joshuva, Ponny C.K Dr. K.A Varghese,Mr.Mathai Maruthoor,Mr. Sasidharan Pillai, Mr. P.C Koshy Panicker, Mr. Sukashan Choolikad, Mr. Anil Kumar,  Mr. Aantappan, State Convener  were addressed the function.  The  meeting selected the following members as the office bearers of  the Green Community Programme. Prof. John Kurakar( Chirman)  Dr. Ganghadaran Nair (Vice Chairman) Mr.Bijumon ( Vice Chairman) Mr. Ashok Kumar( General Convenor) Mr. Jaison P. Johnson (joint Convenor) Dr. P.A. Varghese ( Treasurer) Mr. Koshy Panicker expressed vote of thanks. The function concluded at 4 pm.

URI NATIONAL ASSEMBLIES The first National Assembly   of the URI was at   the Mar Thoma Orientation Centre, Kerala as early as 2004, which was inaugurated by the longest living bishop in the world, Dr. Philipose Mar Chrysostom.The second National Assembly was again at the Mar Thoma Shanthigiri Ashram, Alwaye in 2007, in conjunction with the second International Holy Books conference. All the pioneers of the Interfaith Movement in India attended this Assembly viz. Swami Agnivesh, Justice Shamsuddin, Fr. Nambiar Parambil, Bishop Zacharias, Homi Dalla, Madam Meher Master Moos, Swami Chaturvedi, Dr. Mohinder Singh, Vijay Bhatkar and so on. The third was organised by Biswadebji at Santhiniketan, West Bengal, the World famous University established by Tagore, the first Asian to win a Nobel Prize.
